Lena & The Slide Brothers was formed in 2009 in Helsinki, Finland. The first album "Turn It On" came out in 2010, the second "Shine Your Light" in 2013.

Their third album "The Road" was released in 2016 and it received great reviews and plenty of airplay world wide.

The album "IV" (2019) has received superb reviews everywhere and the blues radios all over the world have taken it on their playlists, UK IBBA Top 40 on April and May among others. "A solid winner 6/6."- Blues News Norway.

The fifth album: "Lighthouse Blues". The first single:

The band has played at the most of Finnish blues and roots music festivals as well as in clubs and concert halls all over the country and visited also Sweden, Estonia, France, Italy, Belgium and Switzerland. Lena and her band mates occasionally perform as an acoustic duo or an electric blues trio.

In 2016 Lena & The Slide Brothers represented Finland at EBU EUROPEAN BLUES CHALLENGE 2016 in Italy.

On January 2017 the band won two categories at the FINNISH BLUES AWARDS 2017. The artist/band of the year and the best song of the year. (The Road You're On).


"In A Black Cadillac" got an "Honorable Mention" on the International Songwriting Competition (ISC) final stage.

Lena & The Slide Brothers on vuodesta 2009 alkaen yhdistellyt sujuvasti amerikkalaisia blues- ja roots-vaikutteita. Yhtyeen debyyttilevy "Turn it on" ilmestyi vuonna 2010 ja esitteli pääasiassa akustisin instrumentein operoivan bändin. 2013 julkaistu seuraaja "Shine Your Light" toi esiin yhtyeen sähköisemmän ja rankemman puolen.

Bändin kolmas levy "The Road" julkaistiin 2016. Albumi on saanut hienoja arvosteluja ympäri Eurooppaa alan lehdissä ja sivustoilla. Myös bluesradiot kautta maailman ovat ottaneet levyn soittolistoilleen.

Neljäs albumi "IV" (2019) on kerännyt valtavan määrän huippuarvosteluja alan lehdissä sekä sivustoilla ja on menestynyt radiosoittolistoilla ympäri maailman (mm. Britannian Bluesradioiden Top 40- listalla huhti-ja toukokuussa 2019).

Uusi albumi on valmis ja ensimmäinen singlebiisi oli "In a Black Cadillac". Toinenkin sinkku "Sweet Little Angel" julkaistiin 17.4.2026... Albumi "Lighthouse Blues" ilmestyi 22.5.2026.

Keikoilla kuullaan oman tuotannon lisäksi versioita tarkoin valituista blues- ja rootsmusiikin helmistä. Tilanteen mukaan yhtye muokkaantuu myös sähköiseksi bluestrioksi tai akustiseksi duoksi. Orkesteri on esiintynyt klubikeikoilla, konserttisaleissa sekä useimmilla kotimaisilla rytmimusiikkifestivaaleilla. Bändi on keikkaillut myös Eestissä, Ranskassa, Italiassa, Belgiassa, Ruotsissa ja Sveitsissä.

Lena & The Slide Brothers esiintyi Suomen edustajana huhtikuussa Italiassa järjestetyssä European Blues Challenge 2016- kilpailussa.

Finnish Blues Awards 2017- gaalassa bändi vastaanotti vuoden yhtye sekä vuoden kappale- palkinnot.
